Here at St. Peter's we understand how important it is for children to eat a healthy and balanced meal during the day. Evidence shows that eating healthy foods has a positive impact on a child's ability to learn, concentrate and improves their overall behaviour.
A school dinner from the exciting menu costs just £2.30 per day and includes a hot meal with a choice of salad or vegetable side dishes, a delicious desert or fruit and a drink (water or milk). School meals are made using fresh produce, sourced locally where possible and can be paid for on a weekly or a daily basis. A copy of the latest menu can be viewed below.
Free school meals are available to some pupils. To find out if your child qualifies please go to: https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/education/educationalawardsbenefits/FreeSchoolMeals/Apply-Online.aspx or contact the school office.
All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal as part of the Government's Universal Free School Meals initiative.
For those children who choose to bring a packed lunch we encourage parents to include healthy sandwiches, snacks and drinks (not fizzy) and support the school in promoting healthy life choices.
Children in Year 1 and above are welcome to bring in a named water bottles to provide refreshment throughout the day.
